Full Stack Mobile Software Engineer

You are a curious Software Engineer with a passion for building great customer experiences and writing clean code that scales. As one of the initial members of the engineering team, you’ll have an oversized opportunity to contribute to all aspects of our new product from application architecture to product design to service infrastructure / DevOps.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the product team to define and build the Alucio platform for scientific exchange
  • Collaborate with other engineers in defining the system’s architecture to ensure the scalability, maintainability and security of the platform
  • Ensure the highest quality of product by following development best practices such as code reviews and writing appropriate unit tests and documentation
  • Continue to grow the company’s culture of collaboration, fun and user advocacy

Your Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience building and supporting SaaS / consumer facing production applications
  • Experience building mobile applications using the react-native framework
  • Understanding of CI/CD and deployment processes for mobile applications
  • Strong passion for building high quality user experiences
  • A strong belief in writing testable code and unit tests
  • The ability to strike the balance between the ideal solution and what’s good enough
  • The ability to thrive working within a fast-paced, collaborative agile team

It would be very helpful (but not necessary) if you have experience:

  • Building native iOS applications in Objective-C and/or Swift
  • Building and deploying applications on AWS following DevOps practices
  • Designing and building APIs and back-end services using NodeJS
  • Working with NoSQL and/or relational databases
